We bring together diverse women leaders to:
- Strengthen Torah education across our schools
- Build meaningful connections between communities
- Create innovative programs that unite our kehillah
- Support our schools beyond financial assistance
Women of Kehillah is an initiative of the Kehillah Fund that aims to increase women’s engagement in the fund’s mission. It unifies the women in our communities around Jewish education and supports our local Orthodox Jewish day schools.
Led by a steering committee of diverse women leaders, women come together to participate in programs that benefit the breadth of our schools and school communities.
Women of Kehillah expands Kehillah Fund’s impact by:
- Offering a forum for learning about, understanding, and celebrating the diversity of our schools
- Creating a space for like-minded women in the community to support our schools and school communities
- Tapping into the unique perspectives and collective energy of women in our community to develop and implement programming that goes beyond financial support and fosters a deeper sense of unified community
Past initiatives include:
- Hosting two sell-out achdus events:1) Symphony of Tefillos, an evening of song and connection that drew 700+ women, and an 2) Achdus Concert for Women and Girls featuring local talent, Tehila Erlich and Tamar Rubin, local talent, and a girls’ choir.
- Facilitating a hakaras hatov project for 8th grade students to express their gratitude to their schools, teachers, and parents on lawn signs displayed throughout the community.
- Thanking teachers and faculty with a gift of ice makers for the teachers’ lounges.
- Buying games and sports equipment to enhance indoor and outdoor recess for students and to offset costs for the schools.
