LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDERS

Dear Kehillah,

When we founded the Kehillah Fund in 2004, we dreamed of a vibrant future for the greater Chicago Orthodox community.

In the future we imagined, Chicago thrives with Jewish life. Our community members are united by a shared passion for Torah living and a sense of connection with all Jews. They feel responsible for their neighbors and for perpetuating our Jewish values. They’re curious and capable, possessing a love of learning and the skill to provide for their families.

Thanks to your generous support, Kehillah, this dream is becoming a reality before our eyes. You came together to look after our children and our future, funding our schools and invigorating our neighborhoods with a communal sense of purpose and responsibility. Together, we’ve committed to our children’s education, and we’ve watched their commitment to our values blossom in turn.

Thank you for caring about our children and our community. Thank you for making sure that our schools are warm, welcoming and well-equipped. Thank you for giving of your energy, time and resources so that our children can enjoy a rich, rewarding school experience that fills them with pride in their Jewish identity.

It’s our privilege to work with you, our neighbors, to champion Chicago’s Jewish children. May we share the nachas of watching them grow into happy, successful, committed adults.
