LETTER FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Kehillah:

A common cause works wonders to unite a community. When that cause is the survival of the community’s spiritual identity, it forges a diverse group of people into a dedicated, united force.

Since the creation of Kehillah Fund in 2003, our community has come together to preserve our way of life, giving generously in support of Jewish education. Our communal fund benefits thousands of local children, enhancing the quality of their Judaic and general studies and ensuring that no child is denied a Torah-based education for financial reasons.

Kehillah Fund speaks to the character of our community. Here, we take seriously our obligation to educate every child. Here, we strive to positively and permanently transmit the treasures of Torah and mitzvot to the next generation. Here, we set aside our differences and work toward a worthy goal: Jewish continuity.

There can be no thriving Jewish community without a solid, well-funded school system. At school, our children absorb our heritage and history, our values and the tools to live by them. As a community, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to promote Jewish continuity by supporting Jewish schools. Kehillah Fund is our answer to what’s next for Orthodox Chicago.

Every time you contribute, you reaffirm that answer: wonderful things are in store for our community. Today, we prove our dedication to our children, our ideals and our community. Years from now, we’ll witness our children’s dedication to those same ideals. We’ll enjoy the vibrancy of our community. United, we’ll continue to stand by our children.

Your proud partner,

Max Dayan
